The Objectives of this thesis were as follows : 1) to study the social development according to general concepts and theories, 2) to study social development of Siamese in Perlis state, Malaysia, and 3) to study the form for social development of Siamese in Perlis state, Malaysia. This is qualitative research on document study, in dept interview with key informants and focus group with content analysis.
The findings were as follows:
1) The main concepts and theories for social development i.e. evaluation theory, classical evaluation theory, modernity theory, dependency theory, globalization, dissemination theory of culture, and the sub concept of people’s participation, Neo theory, social civic concept, folk wisdom concept, and theory of social development of Douglas Ensminger.
2) The social development of Siamese in Perlis state, Malaysia they were adapted for development and culture building for them with networking system as a result they got unity and empower i.e. Thai network, race network, traditional network, and social unity network, these could make Siamese save their balance and process of social development
3) The presentation of form for social development of Siamese in Perlis,
Malaysia which reflected for Siamese as clearly i.e. usage of co-operative construction for presentation with southern local Thai, Thai silk dress, for lady dressing cover with “Sabai” for man dressing cover with “Phakawma” and the performance of religious ceremony in holy day and daily life with process of development on five items i.e. Thai language networking, religious networking by Thai temple, race networking (Siamese) in communities and traditional networking and social unity networking, sociopolitical group for runningsocial development of Siamese in Thai identity as the essential of Siamese society.
