ABSTRACT
The Opinion of Students To Wards the Teacher’s Role in Moral and Ethical Devel Opment of Students at thanyarat School Thanyaburi District Pathumthani Province’ is a survey research with the following objectives 1) to study students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani Province; 2) to compare students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani province according to sex and classroom; and 3) to study the problems and hindrances on students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani province. The sample of the study consists of 265 Standard 7th-12th students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi District of Pathumthani Province based on the ready-made table of sample-sized calculation of R.V.Krejecie and D.W. Morgan. Statistics used for the data analysis includes Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation, t-test and One-Way Analysis of Variance: F-test based on the ready-made computer programme.
The results of the study are as follows:
1. From the result of the data analysis of students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani province it was generally found to be moderate ( =3.30), while individually considering it was found to be high in one aspect i.e., spirit ( =3.66); and to be moderate in seven aspects from the least to the most, i.e., honesty ( =3.42), studiousness ( =3.39), discipline ( =3.29), unity ( =3.26), economy ( =3.25), politeness ( =3.18) and cleanliness ( =3.16) respectively.
2. From the result of the comparative analysis of students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani province classified according to sex through t-test it was generally found not to be significantly different which was not related to the given hypothesis and while individually considering it was also found not to be significantly different.
3. From the result of the comparative analysis of students’ opinion upon the role of teachers in the development of morality and ethics for students of Thanyarat school in Thanyaburi district of Pathumthani province classified according to classroom through One-Way Analysis of Variance: ANOVA it was found to be significantly different at 0.05 level that was related to the given hypothesis, while considering individually it was found that the aspects of politeness, cleanliness and unity were significantly different at 0.05 level, whereas others were not significantly different. |
