ABSTRACT
The main objectives of this thesis “An Application of The Four Brahmavihara To the working Officers of Omyai Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province” are (1) to study an application of The Four Brahmavihara to the working officers of Omyahi Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province, (2) to compare an application of The Four Brahmavihara to the working officers of Omyai Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province classified by individual factors, and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions relating an application of The Four Brahmavihara to the working of officers of Omyai Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province. This study is a survey research. Two hundred and fourty-two officers working in Omyai Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province were selected for data collection by cluster sampling technique. The research instruments was opened and closed questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Hypotheses were tested with t-test for two-valued variables and F-test or One-Way ANOVA for more than 3 valued variables. In case of differentiation being found, it was compared by Least Significant Difference (LSD).
The results of research are found that ;
1. The overall opinions of personnel towards an application of The Four Brahmavihara to the working were found at the high level ( = 4.28).
2. With regard to the results of comparison of an application of The Four Brahmavihara to the duty performance of the personnel in Tambon Omyai Municipality was hypothesis tested by analyzing different variables, it is found that gender, age, education level, position and income per month had no significant difference even at .05 level, it was, therefore, rejected the set hypotheses. while different years of working is noticed significant difference at .05 level, which is accepted the hypothesis.
3. Some suggestions for an application of The Four Brahmavihara for working to the officers of Omyai Municipality Sampran District, Nakhonpathom Province ; the aspect of Metta is (loving – kindness) found that they should work orderly, do the urgent work, should have reasons and more information, should support the others with helpfulness, should have Dhamma teaching, the chief should sequest the staff to work sincerely. The aspect of Karuna (Compassion) is found that they should help one another, have discussion of work, should promote the harmony with sports, should help the others do their work, should provide activities for co-operation among the organization. The aspect of Mudita (Sympathetic joy) is found that the personnel should be admired with good work and be congratulated with the success, should have strict rule with the ones who do not work, provide them a course of Dhamma, provide the activities for ones who have problems, should have a promotion fairly and correctly. The aspect of Upekkha (Equanimity) is found that it should be fair and equal with staffs, should be neutral not bias, should punish the ones who do wrong.
