ABSTRACT

              This research aims to study the attitude of peoples to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi Province, to comparatively study the attitude of peoples to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi Province, classified by personal status. To study the problems and suggestions the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi Province, The research was done through survey research, and the samples of this study were 293 populations,  selected by multistage random sampling. The questionnaire was used as the tool for data collection. Data analysis was conducted by the statistical software program for social science research. The reliability was 0.9458. Statistics used in the analysis consisted of frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation (SD) for describing data from independent variables or personal characteristics. The analysis was also done through F-Test by One-Way Analysis of variance (F-Test /One-Way ANOVA) for testing the difference between the average from three or more groups with the statistical significance at  .05 level.

The results of this study are concluded as follows:

              Generally, The study of the attitude of peoples to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi province were found at the high level, When considered by each aspect, it was rated at the high level in all aspects ranking from the most to the least.

              The comparative study of the attitude of peoples to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi province is classified by personal status, age and educational background. It was found that, most of high school level had no significant difference; therefore, the hypothesis is at .05 level of significance.

              Most problems and suggestions for study the attitude of peoples to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi province, the result pointed out that the educational activities such as guideline, and training to the people by the temple development or religious understanding etc. Moreover, for the Dhamma preaching as the Buddhists to recognize about the moral development should be more interesting, and included more information regarding Buddhism and also more advertisment to the public etc. Furthermore, in the aspect of human resource development should gain more support from the organization especially the temple where the Sangha residing. Finally, for general people’s training or Dhamma teaching, people still not yet clearly understand the Buddhist-hood. Because most of peoples are from agriculture sectors.  Thus, the problem of moral teaching for them is quite complicated to the roles of Dhamma propagation of Wat Phairongwau, Supanburi province.
