ABSTRACT

                        The  main objectives  of  this  research  are:  1)  to  study  the  role  of the Buddhism  propagation of Sangkha  in Wangnoi  District, Phranakonsiayutthaya Province by Opinion’s Sangkha;  2)  to  compare  the  level  of  opinions  towards  the  role  of the Buddhism  propagation of  Buddhist  Monks in  Wangnoi  District,  Phranakon Si Ayutthaya  Province, classified  by  personal  factors; and  3)  to  study  the  guidelines for development  of  the  role  of the Buddhism  propagation  of  Buddhist  Monks  in  Wangnoi  District,  Phranakon Si Ayutthaya  Province.  The  survey research was carried out in this study.  The  questionnaire was used for  collecting  the  data  with  the  sample representing the Buddhist  Monks  in  Wangnoi  district,  Phranakon Si Ayutthaya  Province  totaling  to  349  in  number. The  reliability  of  the  questionnaire  is  0.965.   The  data  was  analyzed  by  program  for  social  science.  The  data  analyses conducted by  using  statistical  techniques  such  as  frequency,  percentage,  mean,  standard  deviation,  t-test,  one – way  analysis of variance  and  test  the  difference  in  pair  by  using  Least  Significant  Difference (LSD).

                  The  results  of  this  study  are  concluded  as  follows  :

                  1.  Opinion against of Sangkha. The  overall roles  of the Buddhism  propagation  of  Buddhist  Monks  in  Wangnoi  district,  Phranakon Si Ayutthaya  Province  were found  at  high  level.  When  taken  into  consideration  in  each  aspects,  it  was  rated  at  high  level in aspects of responsible personnel. Methods of propagation, and problems and obstacles of propagation, whereas it was noted at middle level in aspect of target group for Buddhism propagation.      

                  2.  The  comparison  Opinion  of Sangkha to   the  level  of  opinions  towards  the  role  of the Buddhism  propagation  of  Buddhist  Monks  in  Wangnoi  District,  Phranakonsiayutthaya  Province,  classified  by  personal  factors, it was  found  that  the  status,  age,  year  of  monkhood,  educational  qualification  and  Dhamma  qualification  were  not  significantly different. Therefore reject the hypothesis of a pre-set all.    

                        3.  The  guidelines for development  of  the  roles  of the Buddhism  propagation  of  Buddhist  Monks  in  Wangnoi  District,  Phranakon Si Ayutthaya  Province in this study were found that

                     :  1)  the  Buddhist  Monks  should  train  before  they  go for propagation of Buddhism,  2)  the  Buddhist  Monks  should  propagate  Buddhism  with  the  students,  the  leaders  of  the  villages,  3)  the  Buddhist  Monks  should  improve  how to  propagate Buddhism, 4)  the  Buddhist  Monks  should  make  the  materials  for  propagation, and  5)  with regard to the  problem, it was noticed that  there were   lack  of  places of propagation and  financial  support  from concerned authorities.
