ABSTRACT

              The purposes of this research were to 1) study the efficiency of Buddhist Propagation of Missionary Monks in the Educational Institution of Nakhornchaisri District, Nakhorn Pathon Province, 2) compare the efficiency of Buddhist Propagation of Missionary Monks in the Educational Institution of Nakhornchaisri District, Nakhorn Pathon Province, classified by personal factors, 3) study problems, difficulties and suggestions for the efficiency of Buddhist Propagation of Missionary Monks in the Educational Institution of Nakhornchaisri District, Nakhorn Pathon Province. This study was done as a survey research. The samples used in this study were 288 upper secondary school boys and girls of Lambuawittaya school, Permwit school, Ployjaturajinda school and Prokkaewwittaya school where are under the secondary educational service area office 9. The research instruments used for gathering the data was the questionnaire which created by the researcher  that the reliability of the questionnaire is 0.9465. The obtained data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and the open ended questionnaire was analyzed by content analysis technique.

          The findings of this research are as follows :

          The level of the efficiency of Buddhist Propagation of Missionary Monks in the Educational Institution of Nakhornchaisri District, Nakhorn Pathon Province was high (µ=4.23). When analyzing by each aspect, it was found that the matter aspect (µ=4.16), the technique aspect (µ=4.26) as well as the medium aspect (µ=4.27)  were in  high level.

          The comparison of the efficiency of Buddhist Propagation of Missionary Monks in the Educational Institution of Nakhornchaisri District, Nakhorn Pathon Province, that classified by gender, educational level and school, found that the respondents’ opinions were in high level in the matter aspect, the technique aspect and the medium aspect that was consistent with fact.

         The problems and the suggestions from the study found that the Buddhist missionary monks should plan obviously on the matter and time to be appropriate for students’ educational level. It should co-operate assuredly with government offices in date, time and place for holding the mission to avoid the mistakes. It should develop people in the district area to work more in Buddhist Propagation and encourage developing the Dharma presentation technique in new way for getting more efficiency of Buddhism propagation.
