ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the Temple Management of the Abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province according to the Opinion of the Monks and Temple Committee concerned, 2) to compare the opinions of the Monks and Temple Committee concerned in the Temple Management of the Abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province, classified by personal factors, and 3) to study the problems and solutions of the Temple Management of the Abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province. The research is survey research. Data collections are conducted using questionnaire with 458 targets of the population in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province. To determine the sample size, the 95% confidence in the data collection instrument used in this study was questionnaire, which is a check list, the evaluation scale and open-ended questions. Data analysis was conducted by using statistical program for analysis of social science. The statistics used in the data analysis is frequency, percentage; average and standard deviation were described. t-test was used for two variables and analysis of variance one-way (One Way ANOVA) was found to have a different test, the difference of a couple by way of the chef, Stephen (Seheffe’)
The findings of this research are as follows:
1) The opinions of the monks and temple committee toward the Temple Management of the Abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province, found that the administration of the abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province, in overall at the high level with an average of 3.92. When considered in each aspects, it was also found at the high levels in all aspects, namely, i) administration, ii) education of the ecclesiastic, iii) education support, iv)propagation of Buddhism, v)temple building and construction, and vi) public welfare.
2) On the opinions of the monks and the other concerned toward the Temple Management of the Abbots in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhonpathom Province, classified by the personal factors are found comparatively according to the status of age, education both of secular and ecclesiastic. The statistical significance level is of .05, thus rejecting the hypothesis set.
3) The problems and the solutions are recommended that the administration should be decentralized to all organizations involved. Discussions were on the administration and other aspects of the education of the ecclesiastic, lack of skillful working staff with sacrifice and dedication more to the responsibilities. It should provide competent teachers to teach. On the education support also adequate of equipment provided to schools is focused. On the propagation of Buddhism, radio-broadcasting or television station should be organized. In dhamma practice, meditation masters must be employed. On the temple building and constructions, be planned in advance with forming a committee. On the public welfare, be focused on spiritual aspect of the people as the temple is the centre of the community. |
