ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are: (1) to study of temple participation spectrum on public facilities establishing: a case study of Phraintharacha Municipality, Bang pa-in District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, (2) to compare the public participation on public facilities establishing according to personal factors,and (3) to study of problems, obstructions and suggestions on public participation on public facilities establishing. The survey research was used in this study. The questionnaire was used to collect data from 7,006 local people in those province and 378 respondents were being sampling by Yamane’s table. The research instruments were the questionnaire concerning with personal factors and public participation on public facilities establishing.
Social science research computer program was used to analyze the data. The statistics used to analyze were frequency, means of percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and to describe the personal factors or independent variable. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe’s Method were applied for data analysis and the significant level was set at 0.05.
The findings of this research are as follows:
Most of respondents were 200 (52.91%) female people, the 199 (52.65 %) people were married, 134 (35.45 %) people were at the age between 20-30 years old, the 238 (62.96%) people education levels were bachelor degree graduated and 126 (33.33%) people have 7,000-10,000 Baht income. The results of this research are summarized as below.
1. The overview of public participation on temple facilities establishing at Phraintharacha Municipality, Bang pa-in District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province was at high level which average 3.67 with environmental participation at high level (3.59), ritual participation at high level (3.67), creed participation at high level (3.63), participation requirement at high level (3.74).
2. The result of comparing public participation on temple facilities establishing
identified by using personal factors showed that public opinions were different according to marital status, age, education and income at 0.05 statistic significant differences. The hypothesis was accepted. The difference of gender showed no difference in temple facilities establishing then the hypothesis was rejected. |
