The objectives of the thesis are to study the meaning the characteristics the type and the levels of Cāga, The Doctrinal principles supporting Cāga and refusing Cāga and to study the profit and the application of Cāga in Theravāda Buddhism.
From the research, it is found that Cāga means the devotion donation, and the shares of the happiness together. The types of Cāga are the donation of materials such as money, gold and things. And another is the donation of emotion which is the abstract that donates from inside of mind such as love and pleasure, the wishing and the defilements. We can resolve the properties with five steps which are:- Property, sons and daughters, wife, body, and life, to others. Cāga is at the level of Pāramī which is of three levels:- Pāramī , Upaāramī and Paramatthapāramī.
The Main Dhammas that promotet Cāga are; Alobha: Non-greed, Adosa: Non-hatred, Amoha: Non-delusion, Sīla: Moral conduct, Saddhā: confidence, Upasama: Tranquillity, Mattā: Loving-Kidness, Karunฺā: Compassion and Muditā: Altruistic joy. The refusing principles of Cāga are; Maccaharity: Meanness, Lobha: Greed, Dosa: hatred, Moha: Delusion,
The advantage and the application of Cāga. Can practiced to person or everybody in societies appropriate by for the best advantage for the people, the family, societies or every institution to help the societies. The Cāga can be applies to the advantage for the persons or everybody. The leader who practices in the way of Cāga can make a country be more developed. |
