This thesis is A Study of Influence and Values of Gatha to the Thai Society.  This study is of 3 objective namely : 1) to study  the  relationship  of  beliefs  in Gatha and the Buddhist teaching,  2) to  study the view of theory of belief in  Gatha  in  the  Thai  society and  3)  to  study  and  analytically  study the value  and  the influence  of  belief  in Gatha  in Thai society.

                      From the research that the beliefs in Gatha has to have definitions giver keeps a lot of, such as definitions as a noun of the Gatha, The poetry the stanza in Pali Language, the metrical composition. Of 4 badas caller stanza.

                      there is a definition of the word Veda mantra as the name of   Buddhist word which is in the Tripitaka, such as Theragatha, Therigatha, which is of 4 Padas as one Gatha.

                      The way of belief in the Gatha, is the belief in according the prayer which varies according to each objective of each individual or each group of beliefs such as: 1. The chanting of the stanza to praise the Triple Gems which is called in Magatha Language as "Panamagatha". 2. The Chanting to recollect the Triple Gem called in Magadha Language as "Sarana". 3. The chanting to pay respect to the Triple Gem. The chanting words, if translated according to the meaning means to show respect to, to worship the Triple Gem, such as the section beginning with “Namo, Namassakara. 4. The chanting to studying the Buddha's teaching that exist in the Tripitaka , For example, the monks chant the Buddha’s teaching in the Buddhist scriptures or chant Patimokkha to review the precept and the Viraya.  5. The chanting for peace in the minds. The chanting according this purpose to get rid of the confusion arising in our minds and to cause the peace to arise and to be of much meditation. 6. The chanting for inviting the Triple Gem to protect themselves. So, the chanting of Mantra generally means the sacred words to receive the result of faith or to cause the result to arise as one wisher with the power of Mantra. Besides, the chanting means to bring Dharma for practice. In Buddhism, the usage of wisdom to consider the cause and the result is important than the belief. 

                      Besides, the belief in the Gatha is to bring the belief in 2 religious, Brahmanism and Buddhism to be the base of belief and conduct up to being the tradition. The belief which supports the belief in the present societies comes to very level of societies. So, The composition of literary works consist of the magic. such as Khunchang Khunpan Enau, Praapaimani's , etc.

                So, because of the belief in the Gatha was separated from religion with both intention and non intentions. The belief in Magic is of the base of religions. Thus, it is easy to influence the people to be in the principles of Buddhism, by using the teaching strategy of the Lord Buddha who is said to preach four ways of preaching. Thus, and therefore must be raised on the principles of the Buddhist religion. as the anchor of faith. for support the belief is giving in the way that is correct straight too much actualizes most.
