This research “ The Analytical Study of the relationship between the regulations given by the Buddha and the Kings at the Buddha’s time” is of 3 objectives namely :- 1) The study of the principles and the reasons in the Buddhist regulations given by the Buddha. 2) The study of the relationship between the regulations given by the Buddha and the Kings at the Buddha’s time. 3) The Analytical Study of the regulations given by the Buddha and the Kings at the Buddha’s time.
From the research, it is found that :-
The regulations given by the Buddha arose because of Bhikkhus’ and Bhikkhunīs’ behaviours damaging Buddhism. It caused all the people blame them. When the Buddha knew that, he met the monks, and asked them the questions. At last the Buddha received the right answers from them. The Buddha, then, issued the regulations which were the prohibitions and the regulations. The Buddha gave them both the good side and the bad one.
There were many regulations given by the Buddha which indicated that Buddhism is compliance with the king and the country. For example, King Bimbisara changed the date of the rainy season (Vassānavasa). King Bimbisara in Rajagaha, the capital of Magadha and King Pasendhi Kosala in the Kingdom of Kosala had some relationship in the Buddhism, the regulations.
The relationship between the Buddhist regulations given by the Buddha and the Kings at the Buddha’s time caused the King to go to meet the Buddha and said about Bhikkhus’ and Bhikkhunīs’ behaved Buddhism to the Bhuddha. Sometimes the King said with Bhikkhu to ask the Buddha. Sometimes the King blame Bhikkhus or Bhikkhunīs who damaged Buddhism, and sometimes the people blame Bhikkhus or Bhikkhunīs who behaved improperly to the King. The Buddha’s regulations are of both the prohibition and permission. The Buddha’s was issued according to the power of state for protecting the faith in Buddhism continue up to the present time in Thai societies
