This research study aims to (1) examine the efficiency on administration and management at Phitsanuok Governor’s Office according to its staff’s attitudes on four Iddhipadas (Path of Accomplishment); (2) compare those attitudes with such efficiency classified by personal factors; and (3) investigate ways of applying four Iddhipadas to develop the efficiency of the administration at Phitsanuok Governor’s Office. The study was conducted by survey research methodology, and the subjects were the staff working at the Office in 2010. The purposive sampling was applied to gain 122 subjects. The research instruments were a questionnaire designed by the researcher with the reliability at .96 throughout the study. The analysis was taken by SPSS Program to find frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, T-Test and one-way analysis of variance. According to the study, it was found that:
1. The efficiency on administration and management at Phitsanuok Governor’s Office according to its staff’s attitudes on four Iddhipadas was generally at the high level ( X= 4.19). When considered differently, it was found that Chanda (Aspiration) was the highest (X= 4.26); Viriya (Exertion), Citta (Thoughtfulness) and Vimamsa (Examination) were also at high level.
2. Regarding the comparison of the staff’s attitudes on four Iddhipadas with the administrative and management efficiency at Phitsanuok Governor’s Office classified by personal factors, the data showed that the staff who had different gender, age, education, position and income, held different attitudes. Nevertheless, in general, their attitudes were not much different; this did not follow the research hypothesis. When considered differently, it was found that the staff with different genders had the statistical significance at .05.
3. In conclusion, the application of four Iddhipadas to develop the efficiency of the administration at Phitsanuok Governor’s Office could be gained by the staff who had an aspiration or a will to work regularly and desired to make their work more and more efficient. This also included their diligence, effort, strength, endurance, concerned and persistence. They should also realize their assigned duty by working with thoughtfulness, attention and concentration, including sincere devotion. Finally, they should apply their wisdom to consider, reasoning and examine the weaknesses in each work along with well-planned strategy, evaluation and improvement.
