The main objectives of this research are i) to study the skills of temple management of Abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, Pathumthani Province; ii)  to compare the skills of temple management of Abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, Pathumthani Province, classified by personal factors; and to study the ways and means to develop the skills of temple management of Abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, Pathumthani Province. The survey research was carried out in this study.

A group of samples for this research consisted of 142 monks in Ladlumkaew District, PathumthaniProvince, drawn by simple random sampling technique.  The tool for data collection in this research was questionnaire comprising check-list, rating scale and open-ended questions with the reliability value equal to 0.970. The programme for social science research was employed for data analysis. The statistics used for it are frequencies, percentage, average means, standard deviation and One Way ANOVA.

Results of Research were concluded as follows:

The overall skills of temple management of abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, PathumthaniProvince were found at high level ( x=3.97). Having considered by aspects, it was also rated at the high levels at all aspects ranking from the most to the least in terms of means such as human relations(x =4.14), concept skill(x =4.12),  teaching skill (x =3.91), technical skill (x  =3.85) and thinking skill(x  =3.84), respectively.

In comparison of the skills of temple management of Abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, Pathumthani Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that years of the monkhood was noted statistical different at .01 level of  significance, thus accepting the formulated hypothesis; whereas age and level of Dhamma studies were not found significant differences even at .05 level of significance, rejecting the set hypotheses.

With regard to the ways and means to develop the skills of temple management of Abbots in Ladlumkaew  District, Pathumthani Province in respect of human relations, concept skill,  teaching skill, technical skill and thinking skill, it was found that there should get the support from private and government organizations in promoting or arranging for academic seminar and exchange of the idea including supporting the budget, human resources, modern technology for approaching the opportunity of the abbots to have the modern knowledge and well information and high technology easily that effect on temple development for Buddhism security in the future.
