The objectives of this thesis were as follows:- 1) to study the biography and works of Noknai Uraiporn and evolution of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band 2) to study Buddhist administration, management and Buddhadhamma principles for application in administration and management of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band 3) to study the result of Buddhadhamma application for administration and management of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band to the roles of the Isan way of life. The results from the study were as follows.
The biography and works of Noknoi Uraiporn including Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band found that Noknai Uraiporn, her real name is Ms.Urai Chimluang (Surname before getting married was Sihawong). She was born on October 11,1957, at Ban Chomphra, Tambon Yangchumnoi, Amphoe Yangchumnoi, Changwat Sisaket. Her father’s name is Som Sihawong and mother’s name is Buaphan Sihawong.
She has 5 brothers and sisters. She is the youngest and finished grade 4 (Prathomsuksa 4) then joined Petpinthong Band in 1973. There were many songs composed by herself and for others, some songs sang by her and other singers total 13 albums, 8 lamriengtokorns. Brief history of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band in 1975, Mr.Maikit Chimluang and Noknai Uraiporn joined hand to run Mor-Lom Sa-At Natthasil Band by taking over from Mr.Sa-At Sitabutr who was the head of band. It has been changed to new band as Siang-Isan Band, Mr.Maikit Chimluang is band manager, Ms.Noknoi Uraiporn is band head. It has been developed up to now.
Buddhist administration and management. The Buddhadhamma principles used by Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band found that the administration and management of organization leaders, they brought Buddhist administration method by holding Dhammadhipateyya (supremacy of the Dhamma) for administration of their band. The reasons were the administrators have to follow the Dhamma. So, Buddhist administration method was neither supremacy of self nor supremacy of the world. But they used three Buddhist administration principles, Pasitdhidhammupakaranakatha 4 and Suppurisadhamma 7 as the tools for administration.
The result of Buddhadhamma application for administration of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band found that there were good administrative principles, the criterion to receive staffs and regulations to live together. There were rules to punish staff who violated the rules and the method to solve the problem.
There were administrative strategies about the market and public relations. There were two categories of Dhamma applications 1) moral arts or ethics of performance by using three Buddhadhamma, such as, five precepts, five Dhammas (five ennobling virtues) to control their mood in performance. Aparihaniyadhamma 7 for staff unity and follow the social regulations and to be humble. Devadhamma 2 (Hiri-Ottappa) to control their emotion, feeling of shame and guilt conscience. 2) The application of Buddhadhamma to administration for Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band Application of Buddhadhamma to administration of band by Brahmmaviharadhamma 4 for them to be generous, optimistic and cheerful. The four Itthipadadhamma principles for their satisfaction, diligence and devotion to their profession. Sacca principles make them be sincere, truthful and faithful. Katannukatavedi (gratefulness) principles, it’s used to make one to know benefactors then he/she declares their virtues and reciprocate them with materials and service them continuously. The roles of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band on social service consisted of the roles of invitations to show in many festivals, composition about verses and songs, teach dance and sing songs to youth. Mor-Lam performance in general festivals for teaching them to real-know and perform for their livelihood. The roles of Mor-Lam Siang-Isan Band to the way of life of Northeasterners on the entertainment, knowledge, ethics and ritual to effect on the way of life of Northeasterners together.
