ABSTRACT
This thesis is of 3 objectives which are (1) to study the roles and service activities of the Rotary Clubs in Thailand, (2) to study the Buddhadhamma which enhance the roles and service activities of the Rotary Clubs in Thailand, and (3) to study on how to apply the Buddhadhamma to enhance the roles and service activities of the Rotary Clubs in Thailand.
The history and working of the Rotary Clubs are the first and biggest civil social service club of the world, disregard the politic and any religion, established in the United States of America in 1905, being expanded to more than 200 countries and geographies, was established in Thailand in 1936, since then being expanded slowly from Bangkok to upcountry.
The study has found that the Rotary Clubs’ roles and service activities in Thailand are needed to increase both of the quantity and quality members compare to the growth of the population and the social problem of the country. But, the result of the research was found that the Rotary Clubs’ members being increased in very low numbers.
The study has found that Buddhadhammas are able to enhance the Rotary Clubs’ roles and service activities, such as:- the 4 Iddhipabdas is very importance to the internal organization management, the Rotary Clubs’ policies are being supported, and the success is being met to the objective by clubs member and board cooperation which enhance by the 7 Aparihaniyadhammas. The Rotary Clubs’ service activities are enhanced by the 4 Sangahawattus which relevant for the service activities directly, beside the best Buddhadhamma for the Rotary Clubs’ activities are the 7 Sappurisadhammas because they can help Rotarians working with people and society directly regarded time, place, principle and reason.
