We have three main objectives from the opinion survey on student monks, officers and lecturers (professors or teachers) at Buddhachinnarat Sangha Colledge namely:
1. to study the effect of the Thai constitution of 2540 B.E., selection 9, 38 and 73 to Theravada Buddhism in Thailand,
2. to know the public thought about the effect of the Thai constitution of 2540 B.E., selection 9, 38 and 73 to Theravada Buddhism in Thailand,
3. to utilize the results of this research to Theravada Buddhism in Thailand.
The sample consists of 156 first year to fourth years student monks, 21 officers and 7 lecturers (professors or teachers). Independent variables are sex, education level, age, marital status, occupation, and living area. Dependent variable is the thought of people in sample to the effect of the Thai constitution of 2540 B.E., selection 9, 38 and 73 to Theravada Buddhism in Thailand
Based on the survey, we crucially found that there is completely no effect of the Thai constitution of 2540 B.E., selection 9 to Theravada Buddhism in Thailand. The point that this selection constitutes the king to be a professed Buddhist and a chief defender of the faith is appropriate and it is the royal custom that has been inherited for a long time.
