The objectives of this research were to study the state of learning management approach based on inquiry process of primary schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Educational Service Area Office 2, to analyze the state of learning management approach of teachers based on inquiry process of teachers, and to propose a guideline of learning management approach of teachers based on inquiry process. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The data were collected by questionnaires from 274 administrators and teachers and by in-depth interview, and then analyzed by mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results of the study found that:
1. The state of learning management approach based on inquiry process of primary schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Educational Service Area Office 2 in 5 aspects; Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration and Evaluation, was appropriate at the high level.
2. The analysis of learning management approach based on inquiry process of primary schools indicated that; In Engagement, teachers should arrange activities or create situations encouraging and stimulating learning and doubting among students, In Exploration, teachers should arrange activities or situations for students to investigate for improving students’ thinking, reasoning and searching by themselves, In Explanation, teachers should arrange activities or situations for students to analyze and brainstorm for a body of knowledge, In Elaboration, teachers should arrange activities or situations for students to extend their knowledge in application, and In Evaluation, teachers should arrange activities or situations for students to find process, analyze the data, review knowledge, exchange ideas, make discussions, comparisons and evaluation.
3. Guidelines of learning management approach based on inquiry process were as follows: In Engagement, teachers should arrange activities and present new things to interest and convince students to learning and teachers should behave as the model of students in questioning, exploring and searching, In Exploration, teachers should use various teaching methods, support students to work in team, and encourage student to learning by themselves in the guidance and monitor of the teachers, In Explanation, teachers should let students present the learning results in their own expressions and ideas and encourage them to conclude the learning contents accurately, In Elaboration, Teachers should encourage students to apply what they have learnt and found from the study in their life and connect the new knowledge to knowledge in the other fields, and In Evaluation, teachers should encourage students to assess and evaluate their performance by themselves with forms of measurement and evaluations.
