The objectives of research paper were: (1) to study leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province, (2) to compare the opinions toward leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for development leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province. It was the mixed research method that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 179 monks in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. And the qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 12 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.
The findings of research were as follow:
1. Leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province. Overall was found in high level with average at mean of 4.18, when considering the aspect found that in high level all aspect, the aspect that has the most value include the Nissayasampanno aspect at mean of 4.24, the aspect with the lowest mean include the Cakkhuma aspect at mean of 4.11.
2. The comparison of monk’s opinions toward leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province, classified by personal data (status, age, years of being monk, general education) found that status, age, years of being monk, and general education had the significantly at 0.01, the hypothesis was accepted.
3. The problems and obstacles for development leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province as following: some Sangha administrators lack of ability to analyze current situation, some Sangha administrators give decision making to those who lack experience, lack of coordinated work and teamwork, do not use modern techniques and tools to benefit, being in the midst of conflict problem. And, the suggestions for development leadership of Sangha administrators in Pranburi district, Prachuapkhirikhan province as following: development of planning capabilities, the monitoring and supervising the work of subbordinates who lack experience, team building and teamwork, the use of modern technology for the benefit of the work, to avoid conflicts or avoid them in the midst of conflict, and building a good relationship with the community.
