The objectives of research were (1) to study the development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province, (2) to compare the opinions of monks towards the Development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province. It was the mixed research method that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 233 monks in Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance. And the qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 12 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.

              The findings of research were as follows:

             1. The development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province, overall was found in high level with average at mean of 3.92, when considering in each aspect found that in high level all aspects. The personal aspect was high level at mean of 3.88. The budget aspect was high level at mean of 3.85. The material aspect was high level at mean of 3.94. And the Management aspect was high level at mean of 3.99.

             2. The comparison of monk’s opinions towards the development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province, classified by personal data, found that status has the significantly difference at 0.05, the hypothesis was accepted. Those personal statuses were not different.

             3. The problems and obstacles for development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province as following: most monks and novices lack of knowledge about cultural tourism, monks should not act as guides, the budget is not enough to meet demand, can’t use materials worthiness, lack of joint planning between religion and state agencies, lack of formal development plan. And, the suggestions for development of temples for cultural tourism, Amphawa district, Samutsongkhram province as following: should develop more knowledge about cultural tourism for monks and novices, the prohibition of monks serving as guides, monks should modify the form of the training activities to educate youths to  act as a guide for the cultural Tourism resources in the monastery area, should prepare a budget plans for short, medium and long term plans, should promote to use materials in accordance with the principles of good governance, should have the meeting with representatives of government agencies and local government organizations to plan and carry out projects, and should have the development plan to preserve cultural tourism in the long-term plan, including a 3-year or 5-year plan.
