The objectives of research paper were (1) to study Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province, (2) to compare the opinion toward Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for development of Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province. It was the mixed research method that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data from 250 monks in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance. And the qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool to collect the data from 12 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.
The findings of research were:
1. Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma : a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province, overall, that in high at mean of 3.68, when considering the aspect found that in high level all aspect. The aspects that had the most value include the aspect of “to meet together in harmony, disperse in harmony, and do the business and duties of the order in harmony”, high level at mean of 3.75. The aspects with the lowest mean include the aspect of “to establish oneself in mindfulness, with this thought, ‘let disciplined co-celibates who have not come, come hither, and let those that have already come live in comfort”, high level at mean of 3.57.
2. The comparison for opinion of monks toward Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province, classified by personal data found that status, age, years of being monk and education were not different. The hypothesis wasn't accepted.
3. The problems and obstacles of Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province as following; focus on meeting to listen, failure to maintain the time of the meeting, no documents for the meeting, the new monks did not know the discipline, lack of participation in the issuance of internal regulations, monks and novices who good manners have not received public appreciation, there are no absolute penalties, the condition of the novice is a child, some temples do not keep clean, no accommodation or room available for the visitant. And, the suggestions for development of Sangha administration in accordance with Aparihaniyadhamma: a case study of Sangha administrator in Muang Samutsongkham district, Samutsongkham province as following; the opportunity for participants to express their opinions was equal, respect the time frame in accordance with the rules of the meeting, preparation of documents for the meeting, the preparation of the minutes, promoting the study of the discipline from the beginning, determining the rules within the temple using the process of participation of monks and novices within the temple, praise the monks and novices with good manners, punishment monks and novices who do not respect their elders, promote the practice of kindness, training novices for a neat manner, cleanliness within the temple area, promote the practice of Saraniyadhamma, The place to accommodate the visitant.
