The research consists of three main objectives, namely: (1) to study the public opinion that affects strength of the community Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima,
(2) to compare the public opinion on strengthening the community Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima; and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for strengthening the community Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima. The research was the Mixed Methods: Quantitative Research by survey research and Qualitative Research. The data collection was conducted with the help of questionnaire. The sample of this study consisted of 370 people in the area of Joho Sub-District Administrative Organization Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima by using Krejcie and Morgan’s Formula. The data were analyzed by statistical techniques such as Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, F-test (One–Way ANOVA) and Least Significant Difference: LSD. And for Qualitative Research, the data collection was conducted by In-depth Interview with 15 key-informants; and finally, the Content Analysis Technique was used for data analysis.

The findings of the research are as follows.

1) The majority of respondents were female aging 56 years or older, educated in Bachelor of Arts, and living in the area for 21 years or more. Most of them have no position in the community, earn more than 13,000 baht, and work in governmental sector.

2) As for the people's opinions on strengthening the community of Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, it has been found opinions toward all aspects were at high level; having considered each aspect, the aspects of Socio-culture and mental have been found in high level, the political and economic aspects were in moderate.

3) As for the comparison of public opinion on the strength of the community Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, classified by personal data, it has been found that people with different gender, age, educational level, length of stay, place of management, community organization, monthly income level of household, and occupation have different opinions with statistical significance at 0.05 levels, accepting the settled hypothesis.

4) As for the recommendations on strengthening the community Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, it has been recommended that: 1) Aspect of Politic: it should be opened for the public to participate in the forum, comment to solve problems of the community and allow people to involve in all processes of community development; 2) Aspect of Economy: people should follow the step of royal initiatives well-known as the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to solve problems and develop; 3) Aspect of Socio-culture: there should be meetings between public and organizations of government and private sectors as well as monasteries to measure and preserve cultural traditions;  and 4) Aspect of Mental: there should be some projects to train moral education for children and youth as well as adults with the purpose to develop a stable mind in which both the public and private sectors participated.
