An Application of Tri-Sikkha for Development of Purposive Characters of High School Students in Thachana School, Surat Thani Province.

Abstract

This research was aimed at three  objectives as following : 1)  to study on application of Tri-Sikkha  for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province, 2) to compare the application of Tri-Sikkha for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province in terms of general factors as differently,        3) to study the suggestions on guideline for application of Tri-Sikkha  for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province. This is the quantitative research The population composed of students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province for 495 persons.  Sample size by Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, The samples were amount 217 persons. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire designed by researcher and experts, data analysis by package computer program in social science. The statistics were applied as follow;  percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, Scheffe’s  method and one way ANOVA..

   

 

                The findings were as follows:

1) An application of Tri-Sikkha  for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province found that by overview was at more level (  = 4.15) for all aspects when considered in each aspect found that the aspect of wisdom was highest mean (  = 4.28)  and followed up the aspect of precepts (  = 4.13) and the aspect of meditation was the lowest mean           (  = 4.05) when classified in terms of sex, class level, parents occupation and parents incomes found that by overview was at more level.

                2) The comparative result  on  application  of  Tri-Sikkha for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province in terms of general factors i.e. sex, class level, parents occupation and parents incomes found that there were not different.

3) The suggestions on guideline for application of Tri-Sikkha for development of purposive characters of high school students in Thachana school, Surat Thani province found that teacher and student’s parent should promote student foe harmony, reconciliation, pride, national praise, honesty, do good on body, speech, and mind. There should promote student for own religious practice, disciplinary regarding in family , school. There should support students who are regarding in learning and activities participation in and out sources learning as regularly. There should support student for using media as properly and living as sufficiently, reasonable, carefulness, and can live with other as happily.
