The objectives of this thesis were as follows : 1) to study  the history of the trace and development of Klongthom museum, Klongthom district, Krabi province and, 2) to study the guideline for development competency for history tourism, Klongthom museum, Klongthom district, Krabi province with qualitative research, study of data from documents, books, journals, research works, field study and survey and interview, the key informants for 4 groups; Local people, local enterprises, tourists, and government agents which are concerning with promotion and development of tourism totally 32 persons.

The finding were as follows :

1. The Klongthom museum, from the being there was located for collecting Lukpad (bead) and archaeological materials which are found at “Khuan lukpad” and established by Phrakhru Arthonsangwarakit, abbot of Wat Klongthom in 2509 B.E. and developed as “Phrakhru Athonsangwarakit museum” and open for all to visit in 2525 B.E., later after death of Phrakhru Athonsangwarakit the museum was under responsibility of Klongthom municipality and changed to name as “Wat  Klongthom museum” after that it was improved as modernity either out door or in door and finished in 2558 B.E. and changed name as “Klongthom museum” up to the present.

2. The guideline of competency development as historical tourism of Klongthom museum, Klongthom district, Krabi province. The finding is 1) Location domain; there should improve the views as beautifully, there should improve foot path with cover way, there should adjust of car parking, there should have data base of archaeological materials and regarding on safety for saving archaeological materials.     2) Tourism charnal domain ; There should have informational documents, and multi-media, label, and direction as clearest. 3) Tourism service domain ; there should add personal  and English development for communication with foreigners, to have brochure or prospectus both Thai and English version. 4) Consciousness implantation domain ; to be campaigned on perceiving, faith and belief for history of Lukpad (bead) and archaeological materials. The local educational institutes must be on the master of running as the main instructors to children and youth for conservatives to know significance value both historical and archaeological study also,  there should cooperate of people in community, government office, enterprise, in looking after for the preservation and responsibility to problem which may occur with archaeological place, start with family institute, educational institute educational area in Krabi province, there should have extra – class for study tour in Klongthom museum atleast on year for one time.  5) Community economic domain  ;  There should support staff for training of gift production for selling tourists and emphasized on local wisdom for productive process as the low cost and to set up community enterprise group which is emphasized on ancient bead (Lukpad) in variety, and to rise up the products “one Tambol one product” as the identity of coverage as the main source, history, belief, faith of product and there should develop QR code system on souvenir product.
