An Application of Bhāvanā in Development of Life Quality of Student in Secondary and High School, Municipality School 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to study an application of Bhāvanā in development of life quality of student in secondary  and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla Province, 2) to compare an application of Bhāvanā in  development of  life quality of student in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla Province in terms of sexes, class levels, Parent’s occupations and parent’s incomes as differently, and 3) to study on suggestion on the guideline for promotion of application an Bhāvanā in development of life quality of student in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla Province. This is quantitative research. The population were students in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla Province for 1,258 persons, sample size by Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were about 291 persons, Sampling by stratifield randomb sampling,  The instrument for date collection was questionnaire, date analysis by package computer program.

The statistica were applied as follows; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one way ANOVA or F-test and to test the mean in each pair by LSD method.

             The findings were as follows;

                 1. An application of Bhāvanā in development of life quality of student in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla province found that by overview was at more level (=3.85) when considered in each aspect found that the aspect of Sila- bhāvanā was the highest mean (=3.98) and followed up the aspect of Kāya- bhāvanā (=3.92) and the aspect of Paññā- bhāvanā was as lowest mean (=3.74).

                 2. The comparative result on application of Bhāvanā in development of life quality of student in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla province in terms of sexes, class levels, and parent’s occupations found that there were different as statistically significance at .05 but in terms of parent’s incomes found that there were not  different as statistically significance at .05

             3. The suggestion on the guideline for promotion of application an Bhāvanā in development of life quality of student in secondary and high school, municipality school 1 (Engseangsamaggi), Had Yai district, Songkhla province as following; The aspect of Kāya- bhāvanā; there should have a right exercise and suitable with body was the highest frequency and followed up on there should eat healthy good an sufficient for body’s need. The aspect of Sila- bhāvanā; there should make merit in temple as usual was the hingest frequency and followed up on there should regard on social rules and laws. The aspect of  Citta- bhāvanā; there should make peaceful of mind was the highest frequency and followed up on there should make meditation and the aspect of Paññā- bhāvanā; there should read more for revising and addition of knowledge was the highest frequency and followed up on there should use internet for creation.
