Abstract

 

The study aimed to study concepts, theories and principles of strengthening Mahayana Buddhism-based Bodhisatava based on Buddhist Psychology; to analyze and synthesize Mahayana Buddhism-based Bodhisatava based on Buddhist Psychology; and to propose the strengthening ways of Mahayana Buddhism-based Bodhisatava based on Buddhist Psychology. The study was qualitative in nature collected data from 13 key informants and focus group discussion with 13 specialists. Results of the study found that a faith, 6 Perfections, 4 Determinations and 3 Idealisms were the doctrines leading human beings to Budhisatava as Mahayana Buddhism-based Bodhisatava based on Buddhist Psychology, Mahayana Buddhism-based Bodhisatava based on Buddhist Psychology was generally based on the principle of kindness to living things with both a wisdom and kindness to enlighten Bodhisatava which was Mahayana’s idetification, and the strengthening ways of Kolberg’s ethical reasons to develop the teaching process from the following steps 1) to assess the ethical reasons of faith, Bodhisatava’s goal, 6 Perfections,
3 Idealisms and 4 Determinations, 2) to teach using techniques and ways so that Buddhists could act, and 3) to follow-up by assessing ethical reasons.
