Abstract

 

The thesis entitled “The Effectiveness of Teaching Buddhism Subject of Moral Teaching Monks of Schools in Huahin District, Prachuap Khiri KhanProvince” consisted of 3 objectives: 1) tostudy the effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province,2) to study and compare the opinions on the effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province classified by personal factors,and 3) to study problems and propose suggestions for improvingthe effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province. The method of this study was Mixed-Method Research between quantitative and qualitative research. For the quantitative research, the sample was selected from 323 cases with the statistics used were percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while the data collection for qualitative research was from interviewing 12 experts.

From the study, it was found as follows:

      1.The overall effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province, was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the effectiveness of teaching Buddhism of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province was also at a high levelin every aspect.

      2. From the results of the comparisonof students' opinions on the development of effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province classified by personal status, it was found that students,who were different in years of study and age,did not have different opinions on the development of teaching effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province; therefore, the set hypothesis was rejected.

      3. From the study of problemsand suggestions on the development of effectiveness of teaching Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks of schools in Huahindistrict, PrachuapKhiri Khan province, there should be the followings: the learning materials for studying Buddhism outside the classroom should be provided, the promotion of the use of media focusing onstudents searching for knowledge by themselves and on developing people to have more knowledge and understanding in Buddhism with the right attitude, the arrangement of classrooms that created and supported knowledge through nature, the arrangement of the classrooms with a peaceful atmosphere with the least noise and light in disturbing the students and the improvement of the school environment to be clean and beautiful for creating freshness upon students, the teaching and learning should be arranged to focus on the thinking skill of students and relying on themselves for the results, the arrangement of the teaching and learning in the comparison methods such as giving a summary of comparative content and using examples to help students understand and see the pictures clearer, the arrangement of the training on behavior and discipline, and the arrangement of the continuous evaluation by the appropriate and various methods of selection with the goal of improving the studying of students, as well as the evaluation focusing on the creative thinking, thinking process, the application and the improvement of students.
