The aims of this research were: 1) to study the principles of the four bases of social solidarity (Sangahavatthu-dhamma) to be applied in live quality development; 2) to study the conditions of life quality of the ethnic group in Sisaket province; 3) to study the model of life quality development by using the principles of the four bases of social solidarity. The study was conducted by the qualitative research methodology from the study of academic documents and in-depth interview of 32 targeted informants. The gathered data were analyzed by the descriptive analysis based on the analytic induction.
The research results revealed that the four bases of social solidarity is the principles of human assistance leading to peaceful coexistence, the anchor of the person mind to have harmony through generosity (dāna), sacrifice, good speech (piyavācā), useful conducts (atthacariyā) and equality consisting in impartiality (samānattatā) among people.
The study of the conditions of life quality of the ethnic group in Sisaket province indicated that there are frequent relocation of people, specific traditions in terms of language and eating cultures etc. It is an ethnic group that blends in diversity, making it constantly adaptable.
The model of life quality development by using the principles of the four bases of social solidarity is the model of life quality development by the principles of generosity by organizing the activities and funding to help the ethnic groups, the principles of good speech by setting up the village constitutions, by the principles of useful conducts by arranging the cleaning activities and by the principles of equality consisting in impartiality by training oneself to have equality causing happiness and prosperity in life and society.
