The objectives of this thesis were as follows 1) to study state of problems of diabetic patient’s living of Buddhist monks 2) to study the Buddhist principle for happy living and 3) to study an application of Buddhist principle for diabetic patient’s happy living of Buddhist monks. The study was conducted by means of qualitative by field research to study the problems of life of the clergy, patients with diabetes from interviewing 6 priests patients with diabetes in Phatthalung. Buddhadhamma for living happily by documentary research from various sources i.e. Tripitaka, texts commentary copies. Lahore academic thesis research and online resources to study the application of Buddhist principles in the daily life of the monks happily patients with diabetes by linking data Buddhism in keeping with the life style of the monks patients with diabetes. Classification of data on a given subject. Analysis and descriptive information compiled the data analysis and suggestions for presenting and publishing research integrity.
The research results found that;
1) The state of problems of diabetic patient’s living of Buddhist monks found that patients with diabetes have a problem in the clergy. The following three aspects: (1) physical health problems, such as fatigue, insomnia, do not have the strength, thirsty. , drink more water, urine, incontinence, sweet appetite weight while eating. There are problems. About weight control as well as complications is kidney disease, gout, and osteoarthritis of the knee, high blood pressure, a wound. Dismantle the nest, itchy rash, hand and foot three crook tea burning the peripheral feet (2) mental health problems, such as Distracted, lack of self-confidence, anxiety, and moody. Sometimes the drowsiness. Fear control diabetes symptoms not causing symptoms of disease, can't eat, frustrated with insomnia, not the heart want to do it. However, uneasiness, depression (3) problems in living with others in the society such as monks some necessary reduce the mission. In order not to disturb the folk magic due to the diet. To avoid certain foods and follow the doctor's advice. Eating with others is difficult. Some people experiencing religious practice. Inconvenience as before and especially about travel and food to control, while some still practice. The religious activity normally, but more careful about food.
2) The Buddhist principle for happy living found that there are three principles that corresponds to a life style. Happy of the diabetic patients, including (1) Abhinhapaccavekkhana: ideas to be constantly reviewed; facts which should be again and again contemplated (2) Indriya-samvara: control of the senses. There are protected against when seeing, hearing, smell, taste, touch, wishful thinking or feeling, perception of various eatables. (3) Bhojane-mattaññutā: moderation in eating. Knowledge know about the consumption of food.
3) An application of Buddhist principle for diabetic patient’s happy living of Buddhist monks found that there are application of Buddhist principles in order to live happily. According to Abhinhapaccavekkhana, Indriya-samvara and Bhojane-mattaññutā. There is also the introduction of Buddhism other deals, such as Tilakkhana or Sāmañña-lakkhana: the common characteristics, Adhitthānadhamma: foundations on which a tranquil sage establishes himself, Khanti: forbearance, Viriya: energy, Apannaka-patipadā: sure course, Appamāda: heedfulness and the four Balas (powers).
