The 3 objectives of this research were 1) To study the problems of People Homeless and to care for them, 2) to develop a causal model Development of a causal model of caring for Homeless People following Buddhist Psychology A Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in Caring for People Homeless and 3)to validate and propose A Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in Caring for People Homeless. Mixed Methods Research using quantitative research to extend qualitative results was used for research design. The key informants were the Multidisciplinary team in caring for People Homeless, total 44 experts, selected by purposive sampling method with the simple random sampling group of 215 samples.
The Research instrument were interview schedule and the questionnaires. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis and analytic induction. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation, and to validate model with the empirical data using LISREL program. Research results were shown as follows:
1. Characteristics of Multidisciplinary according to Buddhist psychology consisted of 1) Working goal 2) standard work 3) Work with patience to reach the goal, 4) giving, 5) kindly speech, 6) life of service, and 7) even and equal treatment. The Dharma of People Homeless consisted of 1) faith from Multidisciplinary, 2) Positive thinking, 3) solution thinking. Welfare of People Homeless consisted of 1) the 4 basic human needs 2) career 3) Family and society. The quality of life People Homeless consisted of 1) The life goal 2) Self Awareness 3) Living towards the life goal.
2. A Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in Caring for People Homeless consisted of 1 Exogenous Variable which was Characteristics of Multidisciplinary according to Buddhist psychology and 3 Endogenous Variables which were The Dharma of People Homeless, Welfare of People Homeless and the quality of life of people homeless. The Dharma of people homeless that caused to The quality of life people homeless was a mediator in the model.
3. A Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in Caring for People Homeless was fit with the empirical data, Chi-Square was 56.76, the degree of Freedom (df) was 61, the Probability value (P-value) was 0.63. The Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) was .97, the Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index was 0.93 and the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) was 0.000 Including 4 variables divide into 3 endogenous variables, 1 exogenous variables and 16 observe variables accounting for the variations the quality of life of People Homeless at 79.00 percent.To consider the direct and indirect Effects to The quality of life of People Homeless, it was found that The quality of life of People Homeless got the direct Effect from The Dharma of People Homeless with the value of 0.95, and were significant at the .01 level. The quality of life of People Homeless also got the indirect effect form Characteristics of Multidisciplinary according to Buddhist psychology with the value of = 0.42 and was significant at the .01 level.
