A Guideline for the Development of Kalayanamitta Characteristics for Primary School Administrators In Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to study state of Kalayanamitta principle application in educational administration of primary school administrators in Nonthaburi province, 2) to study principles and application of Kalayanamitta in educational administration of primary school administrators in Nonthaburi province, and 3) to propose a guideline of application of Kalayanamitta in educational administration of primary school administrators in Nonthaburi province. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 201 samples and analyzed by frequency, mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were obtained from documents and in-depth interviews with 5 key-informants and then analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the study found that:

1. The state of application of Kalayanamitta in educational administration of primary school administrators in Nonthaburi province in 7 aspects was at a high level totally. The highest level started at Esteemable, respectively followed by Being a counselor, Lovable, Adorable, Being a patient listener, Able to deliver deep discourses, and Never exhorting groundlessly.

2. Principles and application of Kalayanamitta in educational administration, Kalayanamitta could increase and enhance work motivation through conversations and explanations with reasons, kindly speech, attention, information analysis, new ideas, and new applicable process.

3. A guideline for Kalayanamitta application in educational administration of primary school administrators in Nonthaburi province was as follows; 1) Recruit suitable and qualified personnel in work, 2) Good human relations, 3) Administration based on reasons, 4) Respect different opinions, 5) Assist subordinates according to Kalayanamitta principles, and 6) Justice in administration.
