Learning Achievement Development by CIPPA Model of Students Majoring in Political Science (Government) in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus

Abstract

The aims of this research were: 1) to develop the learning management by using CIPPA model of the second year students majoring in Political Science (Government) in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus; 2) to compare the learning achievements of 30 students before and after using the instructional method called ‘CIPPA model’. The research tools used in this study were: 1) a plan of learning management by CIPPA model in the course ‘Buddhist Political Science’; 2) a test of learning achievement in the course ‘Buddhist Political Science’; 3) a questionnaire to investigate the students’ opinions on the learning management by CIPPA model. The statistics used in this study were: Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test (independent samples) and the content analysis was used in data interpretation.

The research results were as follows:

1) Based on the study of the learning management by using CIPPA model of the second year students majoring in Political Science (Government) in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus, in the aspects of the development of learning management and student behaviors on the learning management by CIPPA model, the students well collaborated and were responsible for their assignments, had good relationship with their classmates, were able to be a leader and follower, exchanged their knowledge and opinions. Their learning from a group in overall was good. In terms of the teacher behaviors, they were a provider of learning activities, media, suggestions and advices in the learning process; this was at a good level. The statistic score of the students’ opinions towards the learning management by CIPPA model in overall was at the highest level.

2) Based on the comparison of the learning achievements of 30 students before and after using CIPPA model, the student learning achievement in the course ‘Buddhist Political Science’ after using the model was higher than before using the model with the statistical significance level of .05.
