A Model of Continuance of the way of Stable Faith Buddhists in Myanmar

Abstract

 This dissertation consists of 3 objectives: 1) to study and analyze the way of practices for carrying on the Faith in Buddhism of the Buddhist in Myanmar 2) to analyze the causes factors of Faith in Buddhism of the Buddhist in Myanmar 3) to present the model of the way of carrying on of Faith in Buddhism of the Buddhist in Myanmar. This research is a qualitative field research by studying documents and in-depth interview and focus groups discussing by key informants 6 groups/30 people.  The results of research found that 1) Burmese people have a way of carrying on the Faith strict in the teaching of Buddha, to be strict in the tradition and to maintain strictly tradition and moral, there is a way to practice for carrying on the Faith through the belief Nat: that is pure person who is the Buddha, individual Buddha or Buddhist Saint .There is the carrying on the Faith through the tradition of Songkran Day  by going to the temple, preserving the precepts, listening to the Dhamma. There are many Pagodas in Myanmar so the Myanmar people always pay the pagodas especially the Shwedagon Pagoda etc. 2) Factors of cause the Faith in Buddhism of the Buddhists in Myanmar are remained firmly up to the present day is the belief according to the Dharma “Faith” in the Religious Book of Theravada Buddhism. And there are social and cultural factors which are the original social factors to maintain firmly from the ancestors; generation to generation. The both of practice and insight in Buddhism are concentrated and seriously. 3) The model of carrying on the way of the Faith in Buddhism of the Buddhist in Myanmar is the ultimate goal or aim to be Nirvana and continue from generation to generation or from grandparents to grandchildren to  faith in the same goal. There is also a system of monks who are spiritual leaders, promote the education, the praying, to be able to remember all of the Tripitaka and when the kinsman had a way to study and remember the Tripitaka , they can follow the path of the Faith in Buddhism

               The innovation from this research is model of the maintain of the Faithful path of the Buddhist in Myanmar through the way of Dhamma. It is the ultimate goal of Buddhists in the Myanmar is Nirvana. In accordance with the principles of Buddha which teach the Dharma for achievement of Dharma. To take the Dharma to study and practice for succeed. By the Triple Gem as a cause of Faith, moral for physical, vocal and mind purify from evil and immoral, to study the good knowledge by listening, reading, thinking and communicating with good man with devotion and patience. Through the practice of family which is the way of supporting the Faith by parents model, The family Is a Buddhist family that can cultivate and forward the Faith in the Buddhist way from generation to generation. There is a mechanism to drive through the Dharma way led by monks. Is a kind of consolation give knowledge and intelligence. And the development further through social mechanisms and culture Is a mental bonding. Causing wisdom and having a beautiful mind, including morals, morals, as well as the pattern of traditions Which is expressed in the form of various rituals are all important tools that help carry on faith and create harmony for society with the use of Dharma Fair for help or an attachment to the spirit of the people in Myanmar for living together happily and promoting peaceful coexistence in a Buddhist way. That helps to seduce the spirit to remember the goodness and make a kindness.
