The objectives of this study were: 1. to study general context, problems and obstacles of children and youths promotion for Buddhist activity participation of monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province, 2. to compare the opinions on children and youths promotion for Buddhist activity Participation of Monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province, classified by personal data and 3. Propose guidelines for children and youths promotion for Buddhist activity participation of Monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province.
Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research collected data from 376 samples derived from 6,155 students using questionnaires with the confidence value at 0.912. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, testing hypothesis with t-test. The qualitative research collected data from 12 key informants with in-depth-interviewing and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation
Findings of the research were as follows:
1. Children and youths had opinions on children and youths promotion for Buddhist activity participation of Monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province at high level with the mean value at 3.80. Each aspects were also at high levels, from high to low as; 1) Honesty was at 4.05, 2) gratefulness was at 3.89, 3) Public beneficial deeds was at 3.73, 4) Well-disciplined was at 3.75, 5) Ethical virtue promoting activities was at 3.73 and 6) Children and youth development by training was at high level with the mean value at 3.55 accordingly.
2. The comparison results of the opinions were that children and youth with different gender, age, educational levels did not have different opinions on children and youth promotion for Buddhist activity of monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province, rejecting the set hypothesis.
3. The present problems, obstacles and Recommendations for children and youths promotion for Buddhist activity participation of Monks at Muang District, Chaiyapum Province were that: Well-discipline; at present, children and youth lack discipline, going to school late, dressing against the rules and regulations of schools. Monks should be invited to teach and train children and youth for rules and regulations obedience. Honesty; children and youths were less interested in ethical morality so they were not honest to their benefactors and friends. Parents, teachers and monks should cooperate in teaching and training them to be honest to themselves and others. Educational institutes administers, monks and teachers should cooperate in initiating training activities to promote ethical morality on important national and Buddhism days.
