The objectives of this research paper were (1) to study the leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province, (2) to compare the opinions of monks to leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for leadership development of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province. It was the mixed methods research that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 271 monks in Muang District, Ratchaburi Province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. But the qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 7 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.
The findings of research were as follows:
1. The leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province. In overall was found at the high level with an average 4.00, when considered in each aspect found that were at the high level for all aspect, Cakkhuma aspect in high level at mean of 3.95, Vidhuro aspect in high level at mean 4.00, and Nissayasampanno aspect in high level at mean of 4.06.
2. The Comparison of monk’s opinions to leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province, classified by personal data found that age, ordination years, Dhamma education had the opinions to leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province differently with significantly statistics at 0.01. But personal data of monks such as general education had the opinions to leadership of Sangha administrators in Sangha administration at Muang district, Ratchaburi province in overall indifferently.
3. The problems, obstacles and suggestions for leadership development of Sangha administrators towards administration in Muang district, Ratchaburi province were as following: (1) Cakkhuma aspect; problems and obstacles are lack of necessary basic knowledge, lack of planning skills, lack of learning exchange and suggestions should encourage and support the Sangha administrators to study the curriculum of certificate the Sangha administration program of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, to organize the training for development skills in planning preparation or projects writing, to support the mutual knowledge exchange management in order to for public knowledge. (2) Vidhuro aspect; problems and obstacles are the lack of new techniques, lack of training and suggestions are like the application of modern sciences to use for work development, to transfer the techniques or best practices to subordinates an appropriate opportunity. And, (3) Nissayasampanno aspect; problems and obstacles are the lack of supporting process for working participation, lack of conflict management knowledge and suggestions are to support the working participation, to organize the training about conflict management skills for Sangha administrators in all levels.
