The purposes of this Dissertation are: (1) to create the Buddhist empowerment model that affects to the coping and obstacles of the sexually abused women, (2) to study the effectiveness of the Buddhist empowerment model that affects to the coping and obstacles of the sexually abused women. Its methodology is done by the research and development forms. There are 2 steps of research: 1) the model creation and 2) a study of the results of using models by measuring the ability in coping and obstacles. The sampling group consisted of 14 sexually abused women, having divided into two groups: 7 persons in control groups and 7 persons in experimental groups. Both groups are proved by experimental model twice; the Pre-Test and the Post-Test. The experimental data were analyzed by Wilcoxon test and Kruskal and Wallis tests. The results are found that:
1) The Buddhist empowerment model having created by the researcher consists of 5 factors: principles and objectives, content, teaching process and evaluation. There are 6 teaching steps: 1. Coping and obstacles, 2. Planing to set goals, 3. Solving problems, 4. Collecting data to summarize, 5. Evaluaion and improve ment and 6. Knowing the value and empowerment with the Buddhist Principles of Mindfulness (Sati) and Awareness (Sampajañña), Tolerance (Khanti), the 4 Noble Truth (4 Ariyasacca), 4 Basis for Success (4 Iddhipãta), and 5 Forces (5 Bala).
2) The results of the ability in coping and obstacles of sexually abused women showed that: (1) the ability in 1. The post test results of the ability in coping and obstacles of the sexually abused women; the trial group are higher than the pre-test results with the statistical significance at .05 level. 2. After experiment, the trial group of the sexual abused women has got the higher score by suing a coping and obstacles model than that of the control group with the statistical significance at .05 level.
