The three purposes of this thesis were; 1) to study the body of knowledge and the leadership in Buddhist texts, 2) to study the roles of leadership for each aspect Phradhammamongkhonrangsri (Khmbo Aruno), the 8th Ecclesiastical Regional Governor’s Advisor and 3) to study the results of analyzing the roles of leadership of Phramongkhondhammarangsri (Khambo Aruno), the 8th Ecclesiastical Regional Governor’s Advisor towards the social development and Sangha’s Organization in Nongkhai Province. This research was the qualitative research collecting the data from the field interview in order to compile to make it more complement and to report the result of the research with the descriptive analysis. The results the results were as follows:
The roles of leadership of Phradhammamongkhonrangsri (Khambo Aruno) were found that he applied the principle of Dhamma of the good leadership , that is, to know how to apply the Principle of the Threefold Dominant Supremacy, the four Sublime States of Mind. The Four Bases of Sympathy, the Five Strength Forces, the Six Virtues for Fraternal Living, the Six Directions, the Seven Conditions of Welfare, and the Seven qualities of Gentleman for the administration of Six Sangha’s activities, namely, 1) in the aspect of administration, 2) in the aspect of religious education, 3) the aspect of the educational assistance 4) the aspect of dissemination 5) the aspect of unity and the aspect of the public assistance, all these included into the three burdens, that is, the material aspect, spiritual aspect and the social aspect.
(1) For the aspect of material aspect, it was found that Phradhammmongkonrangsri, (Khambo Aruno) posses the role of leadership in the material aspect by his assistance to various temples in the territory of administration including the monks, novices and people who get the troubles rather than one monk should practice towards the Buddhist assembles by having the important objects, that is, to relieve the physical suffering to one who request for assistance from him. He gives an assistance with his full ability and to be good model as the good leadership for others: the models that he uses are as to build many dwellings.
(2) For the spiritual aspect, it was found that Phradhammongkonrangsri (Khambo Arunot) posses the role of spiritual leadership in order to implant the morality for the Buddhists who search for the way of cessation of suffering such as training preaching Dhamma, explaining Dhamma, distributing the documents and distributing the tape of preaching Dhamma etc. and sending all materials as mentioned to various temples in order to spread out Dhamma to all the Buddhists. In addition, he preached Dhamma through the radio station kin F.M.97.75.MHz of Wat Phochai, the Royal temple and diversities of the Radio station in Nongkhai Province and various activities are managed in the Buddhist Holidays such as Visakha Day and Makha day etc. by practicing Dhamma in order to glorify the king’s dignity, to practice meditation, loving-kindness, and to recite Tipitaka etc. in order to be the guideline for the Buddhists to practice Dhamma together and to know the value in carrying out their happy life without troubling the others.
(3) For the social aspect, it was found that Phradhammongkonrangsri (Khambo Aruno) posses the role of leadership in the social aspect, that is, (a) for the Sanghas, he always organizes the meeting with Sanghas such as to perform the activities in the Consecrated Assembly Hall together (b) for the layman, he has advised people as the Buddhist monk who has been the spiritual treater and participated with all sectors. He solved the conflict between the Sangha’s assembly and the Buddhists or among people together. Besides these, he still tries his best to release the case of dispute with good agreement.
