An Applicative study of the Four Paths of the Accomplishment For The Municipal Leaders Management in the Territory of the Municipal Leaders’ Administration in the Territory of the Municipal Nong Loeng Sub-District, Muang District, Buengkan Province

Abstract

The purposes of research entitled “An applicative study of the Four Paths of Accomplishment for the Municipal leaders in the territory of the Municipal Nong Lueng Sub-District, Muang District, Buengkan Province” were; 1) to study the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment in Theravada Buddhism 2) to study the administrative problems of the municipal Leung Sub-district and 3) to study the application of the Four Paths of Accomplishment for the leaders’ administration in the territory of Municipal Nong Lueng Sub-district, Muang District, Buengkan Province. The concepts and theories related to the Four Paths of Accomplishment were found that the principles and concepts in working in order to achieve the successfulness in accordance with the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment as appeared in the Buddhist Text of Theravada Buddhism. The principle of  4 means the principle of Dhamma leading to the achievement, that is, Chanda: satisfaction, appreciation in work, Viriya: energy, and exertion, Citta: dedication, and active thought and with attention to work with heart,  : to investigate what one does, examination, reasoning and testing and to improve and solve in order to achieve from the result of studying the principle and the concept in working, this is because to get the achievement in accordance with the principle of the Four paths of Accomplishment in the Buddhist Text that focuses on the important in working and to assist to practice the duties for the benefit of one’s achievement in accordance with one’s wishes. The way of achievement consists of 1) Chanda:  Satisfaction, attention to do what one does and to satisfy with the goal of that thing, to require to complete that thing and to require to receive the result better. It will show with performance with the satisfaction, full mind and to get interested in what things one is doing or the work as assigned to do or to work with satisfaction 2) Viriya: energy, diligence to do that thing with endurance and to try to do one’s duties without exhaustion and to be brave to do that work. If there is an obstacle or problem in front, one must conquer all those obstacles and problems and try one’s best to achieve the successfulness 3) Citta:  attention, or to take care, that is, to pay attention to work and to concentrate to work and to get interested in that work, not to let it go, not to pay attention to other things and to work with the active thought 4)  : Investigation, to use wisdom for considering the reasons and to investigate what one does, thoughtfulness, to find out the causes and effects, to be fond of experiment, to plan, measurement, to find out the way for solving and improving. It shows by using the wisdom for contemplation in what one is doing with examination, to plan and always to assess. From the result of research, it is found that:

The ways to apply the principle of the Four Paths of Accomplishment for the organizational administration of the communicative leaders by using the Four Paths of Accomplishment taught by the Buddha for work in order to achieve the success consist of the practical principles, that is, Chanda, Viriya, Citta and  that can be recited by everybody, But a few persons can practice all of this principle that is the continuous procedures. It cannot be lack of any one of them. Because of the connection of the four steps, so it makes us to achieve the success in life and work in accordance with wishes.

The mixed or applied methods between the management and the Buddhist teachings cause to change in the organization clearly, that is, to change in good way for oneself. If the communal leaders practice the right way and to practice the morality, the employees in the organization will take as the good sample, if the administrators and the personnel in the organization use the Dhamma as the guidance , their works will comply with each other, the occurred problems and obstacles will reduce because everybody learns and apply the Buddhist teaching for their lives.

So the leaders and administrators realize of the benefit of application of the Buddhist teaching for their lives, that is, the middle way and to know how to practice in the right way and to feel shy when they practice in the wrong way in working. To give the opportunity to create the new personnel in order to develop their organization for progress continuously.
