The thesis entitled ‘An Analytical Study on Phradebpariyati’s Ecclesiastical Administration for Public Assistance (Sa-ad Khantiko)’ is of three objectives: 1) to explore the concepts and principles of Thai ecclesiastical administration for public assistance, 2) to investigate on the public assistance of Phradebpariyati (Sa-ad Khantiko) and 3) to analyze the public assistance of Phradebpariyati (Sa-ad Khantiko). Data in this research were analyzed by using the descriptive analysis.
The results revealed that the administration of Thai Buddhist monks is an organization under the Sangha Act, BE 2505, which was enacted in a state in which the country was in the revolutionary period and was in the interim period that there had been two Sangha Acts. This Act has been reviewed from the 2 statutes in order to compare and then adopt the organizational structure of Issue 1 as a basis, incorporating some components of the organization of the 2nd edition to be mixed by improving it to be more appropriate.
Regarding the administration of public assistance of Phradebpariyati (Sa-ad Khantiko), Chiang Mai Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor, he has directed the monastic affairs in 7areas: government, education, propagation, public facilities, welfare education and public welfare. In particular, public assistance, both in temples and outside temples, in the position of abbot and as an executive of the Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor, he made the work of public assistance responsible for success very well.
When analyzing the work of public assistance of Phradebpariyati (Sa-ad Khantiko), it was found that he relied on his personal qualities and the Buddhist Doctrines for administration. He also relied on external factors i.e. Sangha Organization, government and private sector. He asked for cooperation from Sangha, government and private agencies, together to help him on the public assistance and achieving a certain level.
