This research consists three main objectives 1) to study the biography and Buddhist works of Somdetphrabuddhajarn (Toh Brahmaramsi), 2) to study the Dhamma riddles of Somdetphrabuddhajarn and 3) to study Somdetphrabuddhajarn’s styles of making beliefs. This research is a documentary research.
This research is discoverd that Somdetphrabuddhajarn was a native person in Ayudhaya Province. He was born at Kai Jon Village, Ta-luang Sub- district, Ta-rau District. He became a novice in B.E.2343 when he was 12 years old. He became a monk in B.E.2351 when he was 20 years old. He graduated in Pali Language and in Vipassana meditation with Venerable Phra Aranyik(kaew) from Wat Intrawiharn, Bangkok; and with Venerable Phra Borwonwiriya Thera (Yoo) from Wat Sangwechwisayaram and learned more Pali Language with Somdet Phra Phutajarn (Naak) at Wat Rakhang Khositaram as well as Somdet Phra Sangaraja or His Holiness Supreme Patriarch Ariyawongsakathan (Suk Yanasangvaro ) Wat Mahathat Yuwaraj Rangsarit.
There are Somdetphrabuddhajarn’s three patterns of making beliefs, namely,1.) the production of five Buddha Statues ie. First, Alms Bowl Buddha Statue at Wat Klang, Photharam District, Rajchaburi Province second, Alms Bowl Buddha Statue at Wat Intrawiharn, Phra-nakorn District, Bangkok Province, Third, Reclining Buddha Statue at Wat Sa-due, Ta-rua District, AyudhayaProvince,Fourth,Meditation Buddha Statue at WatChaiyoworawiharn, Chaiyo District, Angthong Province, Fifth: Earth Touching Buddha Statue at Wat Pitpian, Maharaj District, Ayudhaya Province 2.) the production of the four molds of Somdet Wat Rakhang Buddha amulets: (1) Phra Pra-than Print (2) Pagoda Print (3) Additional Base Print,and (4) Lotus Head Print The nine molds of Somdet Bangkunprom amulets:(1) Phra Pra-than Print, (2) Pagoda Print (3) Additional Base Print, (4) Lotus-Head Print (5) Thread Print, (6) Monk-clothes Print, (7) Dual-base Print (8) Garuda Breast and Alms-Bowl Head Print,and (9) Bodhi-Cover the four molds of Somdet Wat Khetchaiyo amulets: (1) 7-level Popular Print, (2) 6-level Thick Breast Print, (3) 6-level Whole Breast Print, (4) 7-level Ear-to-Shoulder Print, (5) 7-level Straight-Shoulder Print 3.)The faith formation by Dharma teachings on reducing ego - Wnattachment of sangha ranking; contentnent – non-collection of belongings, and donating for helping the human-beings.
