The objectives of this study were 1) to study the educational management model for sustainable development, 2) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions on the educational management model for sustainable development of lower secondary school, Huai Pong Sub-district, Khok Samrong District, Lopburi, and 3) to present the educational management model for sustainable development. The qualitative research was used as the methodology. Qualitative data were collected from 48 key informants through the interview and focus group discussion. Accidental sampling was used to select the sample.
The findings of this research were as follows:
1. The educational management model for sustainable development was a process of educational management in which the school administrators must use the techniques of both science and art to manage the learners to gain knowledge, be good people, and be happy. The subordinates must cooperate in the work, whether teachers, lecturers, staff, janitor with different responsibilities and roles. In particular, in an era where education was boundless, management must have a broad vision of how to keep up with changes in society by providing new teaching and learning materials to teachers and students for the promotion and development of personnel to support effective teaching and learning. However, the management along with sustainable development was a development that aimed to balance the three economic, social and environmental dimensions.
2. By studying problems, obstacles and suggestions on the educational management model for sustainable development of lower secondary school in Huai Pong Sub-district, Khok Samrong District in Lopburi, the management of the educational institution should consist of four major areas: 1) academic administration by focusing on the solutions and learners, 2) budget and financial management by comprehensively finding the budget for all projects, 3) human resources management by promoting teachers to develop technological knowledge, and 4) general administration by promoting technological application to document and administrative management. Each work has detail that would make the school operate efficiently, and the policy in the form of education management to be effective in every aspect through harmonious management.
3. By presenting the model of educational administration for sustainable development, it was found that with continuous development for learning management, equal budget allocation for all projects in the school, teachers’ development in technological knowledge, applying modern technologies to document management, and having all parties that play important role and links together as the union, social, economic and environmental sustainability will emerge and being a role model for other schools.
