The objectives of this study were  1) to study the process of operation affecting the performance of the five precepts prototype villages for peaceful at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province, 2) to study the factors affecting the performance of the five precepts prototype villages for peaceful at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province, 3) to study the Guideline that makes the performance of the five precepts prototype villages for peaceful at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province. The qualitative research was used as the methodology. Qualitative data were collected from 46 key informants through interview and the samples were selected based on accidental sampling.

The results of this study indicated as follows:

1. In terms of the process of operation affecting the performance of the five precepts prototype villages for peaceful at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province, it was found Everyone in the community follows the steps laid down that three aspects could lead to the peaceful community, including 1) local  people actively participated in community activities, 2) for the violation of five precepts, less local people violated five precepts because they held morality in mind and had fear of sin, and 3) for culture and tradition conservation, people in all households express the unity and complied with local culture and tradition and showed love for their own homeland. 

2. In terms of factors affecting the performance of the five precepts prototype villages at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province, it was found that, to drive the past project, the people in all sectors in the community cooperated well together in every aspect which the community organized. Which are consisted of: 1) The Five Precept project, It played role very well in stimulating the strategic planning process by setting the objectives of the project to meet the objectives planed, 2) The monk, The synod had passed the resolutions to the monks to support the project. By the Lopburi provincial cooperate with the Lopburi Ministry of Monks and the Lopburi Provincial Office of Buddhism to drive the project, 3) Leader, Village headmans/Community presidents will fully cooperate in organizing the activity and appoint the project operation committee which have Village headmans/Community as a president with other related parties as directors in a form designated by the provincial in accordance with the “Five Precept villages for happy citizen” policy, and 4) Community cooperation, All people in the Wat Katthaliphanaram community gave importance well to the project by getting involve and cooperate in every activity organized by the community.  

3. In terms of the Guideline that makesthe performance of the five precepts prototype villages for peaceful at Wat Katthaliphanaram Community, Ban Kluai Sub-district,  Banmi District, Lopburi Province, it was found that, There are 4 guidelines which are: 1) Knowledge about the Five Precept, Everyone in the community were taught to love harmony by using cultures, traditions and activities as the medium which caused trust within the community. As people’s origin in the community were agricultural societies, thus made people in the community to be calm, kind, friendly to others, lived in harmony and had a good leader as an example. Therefore, they understood the concept of five precept and adjusted themselves, their family and the community to cooperate with the operation activity process of the Five Precept villages project with ease and success with the award, 2) The community’s process, There were community leaders organizing activities in the community to have everyone in the community joining each activity, 3) Buddhist activities, People in the community make merit, give alms to the monks, pray, and listen to the Buddhist sermon on important days, and 4) Monks, There were meetings to assign the monks to give the Buddhist sermon on important days to make people aware of the virtue of the Five Precept. It created and enhanced harmony to the people within the community. And to encourage other activities according to local traditions by having temple and monk as a center to organize campaigns to decrease, avoid and quit all allurement and addictive.
