The objectives of this research are; 1) to study the state of student affairs management in of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 2) to develop the model of high competent student affairs Mahachulalong kornrajavidyalaya University, and 3) to propose the model of high competent student affairs of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University. The quantitative data were collected from 371 samples and analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 10 experts and focus group discussions with 7 experts.
The results of the research found that:
The student affairs management condition of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University in 3 aspects was at a high level overall. Student affairs consisted of; (1) network building, international standard operation, knowledge and skills services, and students’ data and information, (2) supporting and promoting student affairs by seminar of students from 4 regional areas, volunteer in religious work, orientation before going on duty, providing accommodations for students in work, work report, and having group insurance, and (3) conducting a survey on using durable articles in students’ dormitories and providing documents and media for the sake of students’ learning and life quality.
The model development of high competent student affairs management of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University consisted of 4 parts; 1) Lead was composed of the environment, principle, and objective, 2) Model which consisted of 6 elements of HPO organizational management process and 13 projects supporting and strengthening the high-potential management in student affairs of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and (3) Implementation process which consists of structure, decision, assessment guideline, and (4) Conditions of success depending on the university contexts.
The model of high competent student affairs management of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University consisted of 4 parts; Part1: Lead consisting of environment, principle, and objective, Part2: Model consisting of 6 elements of high-potential management in the organization, 3 groups of workload in the Student Affairs Division, namely the Student Affairs Promotion Group, the Religious Practice Group, and the Student Welfare Group with 31 items in number in total, and 13 projects supporting and strengthening the high competentstudent affairs management of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Part 3: Implementation process consisting of structure, decision, assessment guideline, and Part 4: Success condition depending on the university contexts and Sangahavatthu principles; giving, kindly speech, useful conduct, and even and equal treatment. All these principles can strengthen and make the student affairs management of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University into high competentand sustainability.
