Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the state of activity management in moral teaching and learning in primary schools in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province and to propose a guideline of activity management development in moral teaching and learning in primary schools in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 364 Prathom 4-6 students and analyzed by frequency, mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were obtained from documents and in-depth interviews with 3 key-informants, and analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the study found that:

1. The opinion towards the state of activity management in moral teaching and learning in primary schools in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province in 8 aspects was at a high level totally. The highest level was on politeness, followed by economy, hospitality, cleanliness, discipline, honesty, diligence, and unity respectively.

2. A guideline of activity management in moral teaching and learning in primary schools in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province was as follows; Diligence; students should be trained to have attention in duty and work continuously and regularly, Economy; students should be trained to save and spend money and other objects worthily, Honesty; students should be trained to be punctual and professional, Discipline; students should be trained to be disciplined to oneself and others, and follow the rules of law, Politeness; students should be trained to be calm, polite, humble, obedient, and peaceful, Cleanliness; students should be trained to keep their body clean and to keep their mind calm, Unity; students should be trained to be teamwork, respect different opinions, and work creatively, and Hospitality; students should be trained to have empathy and sympathy on humans and animals.
