Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the primary school administration based on good governance of school administrators in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province and to study problems, obstacles, and solutions of the primary school administration based on good governance of school administrators in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province. The quantitative data of this multidisciplinary research were collected by questionnaires from 169 samples and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 3 school administrators and analyzed by content analysis.

The research results revealed that:

1. The opinion on the primary school administration based on good governance of school administrators in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province was at a high level overall. The highest level was on responsiveness, followed by transparency, participation, and morality respectively.

2. A guideline of the primary school administration based on good governance of school administrators in Mueang district of Samutprakarn province was as follows;

2.1 In morality, experts and famous trainers should be invited to arrange training programs for school personnel.

2.2 In transparency, the budget should be set up to cope with the school plans and public relations of school activities.

2.3 In participation, school personnel and community should participate in school management on finance, budget, and supplies.

2.4 In responsiveness, schools should have a committee to monitor, follow up, and report the school performance on management, finance, budget, and supplies regularly.
