The aims of this research were: 1) to study the personnel administration based on Dasarajadhamma (dasarājadhamma, royal virtues) of the administrators of Phrapariyatti Dhamma schools under the National Office of Buddhism, Udonthani; 2) to study the ways to improve the personnel administration based on Dasarajadhamma of the administrators of Phrapariyatti Dhamma schools under the National Office of Buddhism, Udonthani.
The research results were as follows:
The mean scores in both overall and studied aspects of the samples ‘opinions towards the personnel administration based on Dasarajadhamma of the administrators of Phrapariyatti Dhamma schools under the National Office of Buddhism, Udonthani were at a high level (mean=3.50). The highest can be seen in the aspect of ‘precepts’, followed by that of ‘generosity’, ‘honesty’ and the lowest score was seen on the aspect of ‘conformity to the law (mean=2.61)’.
The comparative mean scores in both overall and studied aspects of the samples ‘opinions towards the personnel administration based on Dasarajadhamma of the administrators of Phrapariyatti Dhamma schools under the National Office of Buddhism, Udonthani were indifferent however, the mean scores of these following aspects: ‘conformity to the law’, ‘austerity’, ‘generosity’, ‘honesty’ and ‘kindness’ were different at the statistical significance level of 0.05 while the mean scores of the other studied aspects were different at the statistical significance level of 0.01.
The ways to improve the personnel administration based on Dasarajadhamma of the administrators of Phrapariyatti Dhamma schools under the National Office of Buddhism based on the perspectives of the samples: educational administrators and teachers are that the needs of development of the teachers and educational administrators should be surveyed; the administrators should support the teachers and personnel to develop their potentials by participating in the training or in academic seminars; the schools should have the fairness and clear stages of recruitment, personnel placement and appointment.
