The purposes of this study were to study the feelings (Vedana) in accordance with Theravada Buddhism’s concepts, to study the feelings used as tools for meditation practice, and to analyze the practical values in accordance with Vipassana Bhavana principles. This research was the qualitative research. The data of this study were collected from documents, related researches via fieldwork by using in-depth-interview and observation approaches.
The findings were found that the feelings (Vedana) in accordance with Theravada Buddhism’s concepts was consideration of the feeling (Vedana) consisted of the pleasant feelings divided into the physical and mental feelings, the unpleasant feelings divided into the physical and mental feelings, the neutral feelings without pleasant and unpleasant feelings, for understand deeply into the principle of the feelings, thinking, emotional affection, touching to make the sense of feeling.
The feelings used as tools for meditation practice, just considering knowing and perceived those feeling sand the practical values in accordance with Vipassana Bhavana principles of Dharma Practice of Wat Pa Yodhaprasit which had the physical values, making the body feel relax and the mental values making the mind calm down without fantasy, growing the consciousness or awareness and mentality.
