Objectives of this research were to: 1. study the level of management development of the Buddhist Studies Schools at Bangplama District. Suphanburi Province 2. study the comparison of the development of Buddhist Studies Schools management at Bangplama District Suphanburi Province , according to the opinions of monks and novices, classified by personal factors and 3. study the guidelines for the development of the Buddhist Studies School management at Bangplama District Suphanburi Province
Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research using survey method collected from 216 samples who were monks at Bangplama District with questionnaires which had reliability value at 0.972, analyzed data with frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test. with one-way analysis of variance, ANOVA. The qualitative research collected data from 8 key informants by in-depth-interview and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation.
Findings were as follows:
1. The monks had opinions on the development of the Buddhist Studies Schools management at Bangplama District, Suphanburi Province, by overall at a high level.( =2.99,S.D.=0.543) Each aspect was also at high levels as follows: Academic aspect was at high level ( =3.81,S.D.=0.697),Environmental management aspect was at high level ( =3.76,S.D.=0.749), Personnel management was at high level ( =3.75,S.D.=0.707), Budget management was at high level ( =3.66,S.D.=0.711), respectively.
2. The results of the comparison of monks’ opinions on the development of the Buddhist Studies Schools management at Bangplama District Suphanburi Province, classified by personal status, such as age, Buddhist Lents, Dhamma educational level, Pali educational level, formal educational level, revealed that monks with different age, Buddhist Lents, Dhamma educational level, Pali educational level, formal educational level, had different opinions on the development of the Buddhist Studies Schools management at Bangplama District, Suphanburi Province, with statistically significance value 0.05, accepting the set research hypotheses.
3. Problems, obstacles and suggestions for the development of the Buddhist Studies Schools management at Bangplama District, Suphanburi Province were as follows: The courses contents were too old and the language used in the textbooks is difficult to understand in particular, the content in the Pali department emphasizes memory and translation rather than understanding. Lack of application of new method, not suitable for the maturity of learners. The study time is still not systematic, irregular and limited, not enough for examination for profound understanding. Suggestions were that The Sangha must improve the curriculum adding more interesting and useful contents so that the students would be more interested in learning, motivating learners who are good and pass examination with rewards and honors for good morale. Use more modern teaching media, open opportunities for students to get access to new media and external resource of budget should be included and allocated.
