The objectives of this research were: 1) to study conditions and problems in living life of undergraduate students in government universities in Pathumthani province, 2) to study the development of living life based on the principles of Kindly Treatment of undergraduate students in government universities in Pathumthani province, and 3) to propose a guideline of the development of living life based on the Sangahavatthu IV of undergraduate students in government universities in Pathumthani province. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 374 samples and analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were obtained from documents and focus group discussions with 7 experts and then analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study found that:
1. The state of living life of undergraduate students in government universities in Pathumthani province in 3 aspects; society, oneself, and study, was at a high level overall.
2. The development of living life based on the Sangahavatthu IV of undergraduate students consisted of;
2.1 Giving, to share, sacrifice, and devote for the benefits of the others,
2.2 Kindly speech, to speak politely, usefully, truly, and timely,
2.3 Useful conduct, to behave oneself for the benefits of community or society, and
2.4 Even and equal treatment, to behave oneself appropriate to their status.
3. The guideline of the development of living life based on the Sangahavatthu IV of undergraduate students in government universities in Pathumthani province consisted of 4 elements;
3.1 Giving, to share, to sacrifice and to participate in social activities such as religious activities, Thammasat Sharing Festival, making donation and charity, and giving assistance to disaster victims in the South,
3.2 Kindly speech, to speak politely, truly, usefully, and timely which was developed by annual meditation program, moral camp, The Right Speech campaign program, Meditation for life development program, and Change thinking, Change life program,
3.3 Useful conduct, to behave oneself for the benefits of others with development activities such as volunteer camp, Hospitality for Cold relief, mobile ethic program, afforest program, and other meritorious activities, and
3.4 Even and equal treatment, to behave oneself appropriate to their status with development activities, such as Freshy welcoming ceremony, registration enrolment brothers and sisters, Paying respect to teacher ceremony, Buddhist profess ceremony, and Thammasat rice field activity.
