The thesis on “A Study of Application in Prevention of Drugs According    to Buddha-dhamma in Nongtacrong Sub-district, Lahansai District, Buriram Province” have three objectives : (1) to study the problem of drugs in Nongtacrong sub-district, Lahansai district, Buriram province (2) to study of Buddhist doctrines that promote the prevention of drug and (3) to propose guidelines to prevention of drugs according to Buddhist doctrine in Nongtacrong sub-district, Lahansai district, Buriram province
    The research found that, in the present, the people in Nongtacrong sub-district, Lahansai district, Buriram province, in part, is experiencing a similar drug, amphetamine, ecstasy, marijuana and alcohol, especially causing many problems.          It affected to non-safety in life and property and affected to living in daily life.        The principle of Buddhism that promotes the prevention of drugs is         the precepts of fifth article, Suramerayamatchapamathatthana Veramani, which means abstinence from drinking alcohol and intoxication which is the location of negligence. It is causing to lacking of consciousness which leads to negligence. In this case, we should practice the five principles of virtue in fifth article which is consciousness. One can be remembered and awaked that will not take drugs.
    The guidelines for the prevention of drugs according to Buddhist principles is one must comply with the five precepts, except for the transgression of fifth precept,  because it is an offense relating to committing a crime, intoxication and drugs such as drinking alcohol or amphetamines. One should practice the five principles of virtue in the fifth article, which is a virtue coupled with five precept in the fifth article which is consciousness, having a memory and being conscious of not being addicted to drugs. In compliance with this principle, It will be a way to prevent various drugs in Nong takhrong sub-district, Lahansai district, Buriram province.
