This thesis aims: 1) to study the style of Buddhist arts in Buddhism, 2) to study the concepts, beliefs, and the creation of the Crowned Buddha statue in Lanna and 3) to analyze the Crowned Buddha Statue in Lanna Based on the Buddhist Arts. Its methodology is a qualitative research by collecting data from Tipitakas, the commentaries, and the legends related to the creation of the Crowned Buddha Statue in Lanna and interviewing the arts expertise, the Scholars of the Buddhist arts history and the Lanna intelligents.
The findings are that: The style of Buddhist arts in Buddhism Is what having been created as the media for promote and propagate Buddhism with aiming to convince people to have faith in Buddhism. On the belief and creation of the Crowned Buddha Statue in Lanna, this belief was handed down from the legend of Jambupatisutta, or the event took place when the Buddha went to tame Jambupati King, who has hold the wrong view that he is the greatest. None can be compared to him. The Buddha preached the Dhamma to him by using the supernatural power. The Jambupati King has given up the wrong view and took a refuge in Buddhism. The tale was appeared in the Pali commentary and in the Lanna manuscripts such as Rattanabimbavaṃsa and Cãmadevivaṃsa. on the Crowned Buddha Statue in Lanna according to the Buddhist arts, it was found that; The creation was finely constructed with the delicate pattern of the that having Indicated the faith of the donors towards Buddhism. It also indicates the sculptor with the excellent knowledge of sculptural works. The design of the Crowned Buddha's accessories is regarded as the unique identity of Lanna, and the great value in the Buddhist art works.
